Our Novice Program is designed for kindergarten and younger primary school-aged riders who are new to mountain biking or looking to build confidence before tackling more challenging trails. The focus is on having fun while learning the core skills that create safe, confident riders. Who it's for: Riders who are new to singletrack and just starting their mountain biking journey. Skills Covered: - Body position - Braking and speed control - Cornering - Riding over small trail features - Introduction to small rollers and jumps (where appropriate) Where We Ride: Sessions are based at Hammon Park and the Dirt Skills Park at Creswick MTB Park, providing the perfect environment to learn new skills in a safe and controlled setting before progressing onto the trails. Recommended Bike: A mountain bike (hardtail or dual suspension) with properly functioning rim or disc brakes. Typical Ride: We'll spend time in the skills parks before heading onto green and easier blue trails, with rides of around 2 km focused on building confidence and having fun.
What you'll learn
For Familys with riders in different skill brackets please use codes 2riders for $20 discount or 3riders for $40 discount. Riders will be placed based on skill level. All Riders Bikes Should be Mountain bikes with gearing; single speed bikes not recommended. All bikes should have front and rear brakes with no back pedal brake. We recommend a drink bottle or camelback for water.
